Growing up in Wagga Wagga, Jarryd has been dancing since the age of eight and has trained in ballroom, Latin American, salsa and hip hop. At the age of eighteen, Jarryd moved to Sydney to focus on developing himself as a dancer and went on to compete at the highest level nationally and internationally in Latin American and hip hop, winning numerous titles. Commencing dance at the age of 7, Alexandra has trained in Jazz, Ballet, Ballroom and Latin American. With years of dance training and a passion for health and wellbeing, Alexandra has since gone on to become a Certified Life Coach and Personal Trainer.
Alexandra provides FIT2MOVE with a wealth of knowledge and expertise and as a result, she has assisted in creating dance programs that are not only fun, but that benefit students physical health, mental health and wellbeing. Read more.

Who is Abbey?
I’m Thor’s personal dance instructor. Yep Thor… Well the guy who plays Thor. Chris Hemsworth. Anyway, I’ve been dancing for over twenty years as both a competitor and a performer and I have been teaching since I was sixteen years old. I love all the great stories I have and places I’ve been, but most of all I love that dancing has given me the ability to be creative, fit and artistic. I’ve lived in both the UK and the US and I’ve never, myself, paid for an International flight. Never! Even though I’ve spent the best part of the last ten years travelling. Born in Townsville, Mel started ballroom dancing at the age of 13 & moved to Brisbane at 21 to compete throughout Australia in the Professional ranks and further her dancing career. In 2002 she moved to England & enjoyed success on the International dance circuit for approximately 5 years becoming the 2008 UK Rising Star Professional Latin Champion, 2008 Runners Up British Professional Rising Star Latin, 2007 German Professional Rising Star Latin Champions & is 2 times Australian Professional Latin Champion. Mike made his musical theatre debut in Hugh Jackman’s The Boy From Oz working along side his musical theatre mentor Kelley Abbey. Mike then performed in Cameron Mackintosh’s Miss Saigon. He then moved straight into the Tony and Helpman Award winning show Wicked where he understudied the role of Fiyero. David Atkin’s production of Hairspray was next before Mike took out the $250,000 when he was crowned winner of Channel Ten’s I Will Survive.
Since the age of five dance has been a big part of Laura’s Life. Growing up she trained in many styles including jazz, Hip- hop, tap, contemporary, musical theatre as well as completing the RAD ballet syllabus to advanced 1. At Spectrum Dance she completed a three-year course learning from the best choreographers in Melbourne in all styles and genera’s. Since Graduating Laura has been working as a professional dancer both in Australia and internationally. She loves sharing her passion for dance with the younger generation!
