  • ABBEY ROSS Latin American, Ballroom & Salsa

Quote: ‘Left foot… other left foot.’ Sigh.
    Who is Abbey?
I’m Thor’s personal dance instructor. Yep Thor… Well the guy who plays Thor. Chris Hemsworth. Anyway, I’ve been dancing for over twenty years as both a competitor and a performer and I have been teaching since I was sixteen years old. I love all the great stories I have and places I’ve been, but most of all I love that dancing has given me the ability to be creative, fit and artistic. I’ve lived in both the UK and the US and I’ve never, myself, paid for an International flight. Never! Even though I’ve spent the best part of the last ten years travelling. My favourite dance is the Jive and my favourite song is Whitney Houston “I wanna dance with somebody… (Who loves me)”. Read more.

  • The students absolutely loved the session. Many of the boys were apprehensive going to a Dance session but they all had a fantastic time and got so much out of it. It completely changed their perspective on Dance which is a credit to yourself. We had 40 Year 6 students take part in the session. They were all engaged for a full hour and now have a greater appreciation of dance. They had so much fun and didn't want the session to end. I would recommend FIT2MOVE to anyone.

  • Thank you FIT2MOVE for coming to our school for a free trial workshop. Our students and staff really enjoyed the session. The inclusive choreography was well structured, clear and easy to follow. Our students had fun while exploring a variety of movement patterns and being physically active. Thanks Jarryd for a great workshop! We would recommend Fit2Move to other schools looking to explore dance.

  • Jarryd Byrne from FIT2MOVE provided The Ipswich State High School with a Hip Hop workshop on the 9th October 2015. His class was not only engaging for students and staff but provided an inspirational experience for students within a low-socioeconomic environment. The students could not wipe their smiles off their faces for days to come with such an innovative routine and real-life dance skills provided for all to enjoy. We would have Jarryd back in a heartbeat and would highly recommend FIT2MOVE for anyone after an engaging and fun-filled workshop for their students.
